Puducherry State Sports Council is a Puducherry State Govt. organisation aided through the department of education. It was established in the year 1980. It was constituted with only 12 registered sports associations at that time. The number of member associations has been steeply increased through the years to became 25 at present. The honorable sports minister is the chairman of the council.
Aim of the PSSC is to produce world class authlets to bring laurels to the state and the nation in the highest form of competitions. Moto emphasis on
“PLAY – HEALTH – UNITY”
